The Skills Development Corporation (SDC) is honoured to partner with BIC® as part of its inspiring 2026 “Let Your Full School Story Out” campaign, an initiative dedicated to empowering young South Africans through education, storytelling, and meaningful opportunities for growth.
As an accredited training provider committed to developing future-ready talent, SDC is incredibly grateful to be part of a partnership that aligns so closely with our mission of creating pathways to employment and personal development for the youth. Through this collaboration, 15 deserving learners will be awarded sponsored learnership opportunities, providing them with access to accredited skills development programmes designed to prepare them for success in the workplace.
These learnerships, focused on essential soft skills development, will equip participants with valuable workplace competencies such as communication, professionalism, teamwork, problem-solving, and personal effectiveness. Beyond the qualification itself, these skills have the power to transform lives by building confidence, improving employability, and opening doors to future career opportunities.
For SDC, this partnership represents far more than the awarding of learnerships. It is an opportunity to invest in the potential of young South Africans as well as supporting individuals who may otherwise face barriers to further education and employment. We are proud to play a role in helping learners take meaningful steps toward a brighter future.
The announcement was made during BIC®’s high-impact edu-tainment Roadshow, hosted by South African actor and television presenter Siphesihle Vazi. The event brought together learners, educators, media, and partners in a celebration of education, storytelling, and youth empowerment. Through engaging performances, inspiring success stories, and interactive experiences, the Roadshow highlighted the importance of self-expression and the enduring power of putting pen to paper.
BIC®’s Write My Story initiative continues to demonstrate how storytelling can inspire confidence, creativity, and personal growth among young people. Since its inception, the initiative has encouraged learners to share their unique experiences while reinforcing the importance of education as a tool for transformation.
